I approach patient care with a holistic and patient-centered focus. I believe that preventive care and education are key to keeping my patients as healthy as possible.
Abigail began her nursing journey by attending OSF Saint Francis College of Nursing. After graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, she became a registered nurse, which allowed her to work in various health care settings, including pediatrics, labor and delivery and postpartum.
After earning her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, she chose to continue her career with OSF HealthCare as a family nurse practitioner.
"I became a nurse because I wanted a career where I felt I was able to make a difference in someone's life," Abigail said. "I chose to further my education and become a nurse practitioner because I knew my advanced skills and knowledge could have an even bigger impact on those in my community."
She makes that impact by establishing a caring relationship with her patients that goes beyond their health care. "I want my patients to know I will always have their best interest in mind when working with them to determine the best treatment plan."
