As a physician assistant, Alex Armstrong is able to expand access to health care, allowing for more timely care and preventing complications from various diseases. She follows the interdisciplinary approaches to diabetes and endocrinology while utilizing all of the resources that OSF HealthCare provides.
“I spend as much time as possible with all of my patients listening to problems and concerns and understanding that everyone is unique and requires a specialized approach,” Alex said. “Every patient of mine receives a personalized treatment plan, and I discuss alternative options in detail so they can decide what will work best for them and their lifestyle.”
Alex and her husband have one dog and two cats. They enjoy spending time outside hiking, kayaking, biking and cruising on lakes. Alex also recently began gentle stretching combined with meditation and believes it has improved her overall well-being.
