Alivia is an Abingdon, Illinois, native. She developed an interest in health care after taking an anatomy class in high school.
“I had changed my mind and decided on a career in teaching. After my first year of college and some job shadowing, I realized that teaching was not my passion,” Alivia said. “Over that summer, I signed up for a CNA class. After completing that class, there was no doubt in my mind that a career in medicine is what I wanted.”
She started her career with OSF HealthCare in 2011. Since that time, she has had many roles, including nurse tech, registered nurse, and, most recently, advanced practice nurse. She now practices Family Medicine with a specialization in podiatry and orthopedics.
“I want my patients to feel as if they are an active participant in their care. I do not want my patients ever to feel as if they are being forced to do something they do not want to do,” Alivia said. “Instead, my goal is to provide the patient with treatment options and help them make a decision that best fits their particular situation.”
Alivia and her husband have two amazing children. The family loves the outdoors and are avid Chicago sports fans.
