Alyssa chose to work at OSF HealthCare because it allows her to have a work-life balance that she desires while providing the best care possible to her patients.
Alyssa began her career in the health care field as a medical scribe in the OSF Emergency Department. Through this experience, she saw the impact that medical staff have on patients so she decided to become a physician assistant. She chose to specialize in the endocrine system because she is fascinated by the way the body uses chemical signals to communicate. This communication can be disrupted in numerous ways and it’s her job to correct that.
Alyssa is married and they have two adorable fur babies. In her spare time, she enjoys working out and reading.
