Amanda LaHood, APN, started her career as a nurse at OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center, but became a family nurse practitioner to help keep patients healthy and out of the hospital.
"I chose family practice because it would give me the opportunity to work with patients of all ages and allow me to focus on disease prevention and health promotion," Amanda said.
Amanda enjoys getting to know her patients and building long-lasting relationships with them.
"I take the time to listen to the patient and their family and incorporate their concerns into the plan of care," she said.
