I make sure my patients feel their concerns are heard, a clear plan of action is developed with the patient and they leave understanding how the plan will ultimately improve their health.
Originally from Cullom, Amanda is excited to be serving the community where she grew up.
She got into medicine because of a love of science during her undergraduate years and wanted a career that would always provide new challenges and require constant learning.
"I chose to work for OSF HealthCare because it is the health care system my family has used and trusted since I was young," she said.
With her patients, it's important for Amanda that they participate in the decision-making process and leave with a clear understanding of their condition and the treatment plan.
When not working, Amanda enjoys traveling and hiking. She has ambitions to hike the entire Appalachian Trail.
