I know how I like to be treated as a patient, and I treat my patients in that same way. I encourage active participation in health care decisions and want my patients to feel comfortable asking me questions.
Amanda loves serving in the same community where she lives and grew up.
“I love Galesburg and its small town feel,” she said.
She chose to become a nurse after watching her aunt, also a nurse, battle cancer.
“During her battle, she told me I should become a nurse because of my heart and compassion,” Amanda said. “I am so thankful God has called me to use my passion for caring for others to serve in this way.”
Amanda makes her patients her number one priority and never rushes through an appointment. It’s important to her to get to know each patient and understand their concerns.
She is a mom to two daughters who bring much joy to her life.
