Amber is a Midwest girl, having grown up in the Champaign-Urbana area in a small town called Saint Joseph. Her love of cardiology came at a young age and during a particularly difficult time in her life.
"When I was 10, I lost my precious great grandmother to heart failure," she remembers. "When I was in nursing school learning about the heart, I knew I wanted to specialize in cardiology."
Amber enjoys getting to know her patients and building mutual trust to facilitate open communication. Together, they will determine health goals and talk about how to achieve them.
When not treating patients, you might find her reading historical fiction, running or hiking. She's married to her high school sweetheart and has three kids.
