Dr. Nauman, a New York native, moved to Alton after completing her residency at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York.
"After growing up surrounded by water, the Mississippi River made Alton feel like home," Dr. Nauman said.
Dr. Nauman had a love for people starting at a young age. Her parents always showed a great deal of empathy for the sick, and she was drawn to medicine. As a pediatrician, her philosophy of care remains simple - treat patients as if they were her child, and the parents as if they were her mother and father.
"I believe the best way to ensure that a child stays healthy is an open and direct line of communication between the patient, parent and doctor," Dr. Nauman says. "This only happens when there is warmth, sincerity and trust between the provider and family."
Dr. Nauman explained that OSF HealthCare encompasses everything she wants in a practice – compassion, integrity and professionalism. The warmth and friendliness was apparent to her the moment she stepped foot in OSF HealthCare Saint Anthony's.
She enjoys traveling and watching the New York Yankees.
