Biography

Hobbies and interests?
I enjoy cooking, swimming and traveling.

Why did you want to become a pediatric hospitalist?
As a hospitalist, I am involved in providing comprehensive care of the patient rather than focusing solely on a specific body system like a specialist would do. Being a hospitalist allows me focus on patient symptoms, research, diagnose, and practice evidence-based medicine.

As hospitalist I am also involved in the socio-economic aspects of a patient’s medical issues. I get great satisfaction out of taking care of patients and watching them recover from their illness.

It also will give me the opportunity for teaching and to use my clinical and research skills.

Tell us something interesting about yourself.
I like to always try new things in most aspects of my life, including food. I am always open to finding new foods to enjoy, so (whenever possible and appropriate, of course) I like to have a little taste from what others ordered.

Why did you choose Peoria to practice medicine?
When I came to interview for this position, I fell in love with the community. I feel that Peoria is a great place to raise a family.

Is there anything else you want the community and families to know?
I am firmly committed to ensuring parents that their children will continue to receive the best possible care in the region. I would like the opportunity to participate in making this community a better place to live.
