I believe all clients deserve highly skilled, respectful, anticipatory and flexible care. I encourage and empower women to assume responsibility for their health and take an active role in decision-making.
With over 30 years of experience in nursing and 20 years of experience as a midwife in a rural setting, Amy is doing what she loves.
"I fell in love with providing labor support with women years ago. I then chose to go into midwifery." Amy said. "I have been truly blessed to enjoy not only providing labor support but assisting women during delivery. I consider it an honor to be a part of this life-changing event for women and their families."
Amy's focus is on supporting women in all aspects of their life.
"I strive to make every client feel comfortable in taking an active role in their health care," Amy said. "I feel it's important that women have the knowledge and are empowered to make decisions about their health. By working together, we can accomplish a plan of care that will provide the best outcome."
Amy is married with two grown children. She volunteers internationally as a women's health educator and midwife with a variety of non-government agencies.
