Angela grew up on a farm in Bradford, Illinois. At an early age, she was influenced by the care provided by her local nurse practitioner.

"There was a connection and caring that can only be formed in a rural clinic setting," Angela said. "I not only saw this nurse practitioner in the office but also at community gatherings, sporting events and county fairs. It made her more relatable and trustworthy, as I also hope to be for my neighbors in Galesburg.

"I look forward to serving in the rural health setting. I love the feeling of small farming communities who edify the concept of neighbor treating neighbor."

Angela's goal is to engage the patient as a teammate, managing health from a holistic view, and not focusing solely on illness, but rather health and well-being in all aspects.
