Dr. Khan is a native of Houston, Texas, but she's lived in the Chicagoland area since college. She has been interested in medicine for as long as she can remember. She looked up to physicians as a child and she has always want to make a difference in people's lives, helping in any way she can.
"I have always loved working with kids and I found that pediatrics was the perfect fit for me," Dr. Khan said. "I love that I have an opportunity to be a part of a child's journey through life and watch them grow up."
She previously worked for OSF HealthCare in Peoria, Illinois, and she fell in love with the supportive work environment within the health care system.
When it comes to patient care, she takes a collaborative approach.
"I like to get to know my patients and families and work with their specific needs and goals to help maximize their experience," she said. "I like to build a relationship with the families I work with during our appointments and give as much guidance and information to ease any concerns they have."
She is happily married, and she and her husband have a daughter.
She enjoys traveling so she can experience different cultures and try new cuisines. She also likes going to the gym.
