Dr. Patel grew up in India and it was a lack of medical facilities where he lived that inspired him to pursue a career in medicine. He was drawn to cardiology as a specialty after finishing his residency in India. Appointments with Dr. Patel come with encouragement for patients to live healthy lifestyles and to understand that prevention is the key. Medicine runs in Dr. Patel's immediate family. He and his wife have a son who is in his internal medicine residency and a daughter who is currently in medical school. When not working, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, golfing and skiing.
