Caitlyn grew up in Peoria and always knew she wanted to work at OSF HealthCare.

“I grew up knowing OSF provided exceptional care in so many ways,” she said. 

As a child, she wanted to be a veterinarian or a doctor. That was always her standard answer when asked the question. She enjoyed helping others and found the science behind how people and animals live interesting.

“In high school, I decided I wanted to become a nurse because I saw how much patient interaction they had,” she said. “I saw how much of an impact they had on their patients and the personal connections they made.”

Caitlyn understands the challenges working with newborns and finds fulfillment in helping these vulnerable patients. She enjoys teaching parents about their baby and helping them understand what is happening.

“Seeing your baby sick is scary, even if you are well prepared for it, so finding ways to help parents feel connected is important,” she said.
