Carmeka Coe-Honorable, APRN, chose to work for OSF HealthCare because she wanted to be part of an organization dedicated to high-quality health care. She enjoys her team and loves the variety of restaurants in the local community.

Patients describe her as a great listener, down to earth and easy to talk to. Carmeka’s journey into medicine began when her mother was hospitalized, and she was inspired to learn more after taking a medical terminology class.

She initially pursued family medicine but later specialized in mental health due to a shortage of professionals in that area.

Carmeka grew up in Decatur, Illinois, and has two adult children and two granddaughters. She enjoys traveling, reading, strength training and is a fan of Harry Potter and Disney. Additionally, she serves on the Macon County Mental Health Board and is an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.
