Carrie chose to work for OSF HealthCare because she believes in treating people with care and compassion.

"I want my patients to know that the provider/patient relationship is a collaboration," she said. "I am a great listener, and we will work together to come up with solutions and treatments."

Before she pursued a career in health care, Carrie was a librarian.

"I switched careers after staying home for several years with my kids," she said. "I had a premature baby and spent a lot of time in the hospital with him and was drawn to the chance to make a difference in people's lives. I also enjoy working with all age ranges."

Carrie and her husband, Sam, a Bloomington firefighter, have six kids between them. When not working, she loves traveling with her family, walking her two retired racing greyhounds, reading and cooking.
