Catherine grew up in nearby Flanagan, Illinois, and has spent most of her life in the Livingston County area.

"I love being in this part of the country with farming at the heart of the community," she said.

She was drawn to medicine because she always wanted a career where she could deal with caring for people.

"I worked as a nurse for 20 years before going back to school to get my master's degree in advanced practice nursing to work as a family practitioner," she said. "I love working in internal medicine/pediatrics because I get to work with people across the lifespan."

She is proud to be a part of OSF HealthCare because of having the feeling of being part of a team.

"Regardless of what department a person works in, there is a feeling of working together for the good of the patient," Catherine said. "The best care for patients is for it to be a team approach. When a person arrives at our office, whether they are checking in at the front desk or getting roomed or examined, there is a sense that we are all working together to provide the best care for them and their loved ones."

When not working, Catherine loves spending time with her family, being outdoors or relaxing by watching TV or a movie. She is involved with church activities, the archery league and helps with school activities.
