Born in Shanghai, China, Dr. Chenglu Liu loves the people of Ottawa and the surrounding communities. The people are very nice and respectful, he said. Dr. Liu appreciates the compassionate nature of the people he works with at OSF HealthCare. I really have a great team. I chose to go into surgery because of the ability to help cure a patient's disease and pain, Dr. Liu said. I've never regretted for one second going into medicine. Dr. Liu was an avid soccer player, but doesn't play much anymore. In his free time, he enjoys reading and watching movies. Dr. Liu is married and together they have a daughter and a son.
