I believe that every patient is different, and treating each individual with the best approach to their health is important.
Dr. Kim is happy to be a part of the OSF HealthCare Ministry as she focuses on patient care and good outcomes while working with other clinicians.
“It is important to sit with patients and understand their problems and how they are affecting their health and lifestyle,” she said. “During an appointment, we will discuss expected results and outcomes and use shared decision making on the best approach to address the diagnosis. We will take the time to discuss the medical comorbidities, history of weight problems and choose the best and most appropriate and safest operation.”
Dr. Kim chose a medical career because she wants to help people improve their lives, and she found the physiology of the human body very interesting. She enjoys working with her hands and fixing problems. Minimally invasive surgery offers techniques that are both complex and challenging but offer improved patient outcomes.
She was born and raised in Edmond, Oklahoma and stayed in Oklahoma for undergrad and medical school. As a child, she was a bookworm and continued her passion for reading. In her free time, she also enjoys biking and painting.
