As fourth generation nurse, Darlene Esken, APN, FNP-C, chose family medicine because she enjoys caring for people at all stages of life and wellness.
Her mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother were all nurses before her and inspired her career in health care.
A native of Central Illinois, Darlene graduated from Metamora High School before earning her bachelor's and master's degrees from Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing.
Darlene is married with two children.
