Dr. Kelly grew up in the St. Louis suburbs as a self-described "science nerd," with a particular affinity for human biology. A career in medicine logically followed. He also loves problem-solving and working with his hands, so bariatric surgery is a perfect fit.
"With bariatric surgery, we have the potential to cure diabetes, hypertension, sleep apnea, PCOS, joint issues, etc.," Dr. Kelly said. "I can fundamentally change somebody's life and give them, on average, ten more years to that life."
Dr. Kelly comes from a large Irish family and is engaged to be married in Spring 2021. In his free time, he enjoys movies, brewing beer, carpentry and sports.
