Dawn began her career as a nurse intern and worked her way up to become an advanced practice nurse practitioner. She became interested in medicine after losing her father at a young age. The loss caused her to search for answers and sparked her curiosity in the human body. She decided to focus on cardiology because she believes that “the heart is the most amazing organ we have."

Dawn puts her patients' health first. During appointments, she wants her patients to feel cared for and confident in the choices about their care. She feels honored to “help patients and their families through some of the hardest times in their lives.”

Dawn grew up in South Pekin. In her free time, she keeps busy with her five children and her sassy Blue Heeler dog. She also serves on the school board in her community and enjoys motorcycle rides and attending sporting events.
