Background

My approach is one of compassion, empathy, and a sincere desire to mirror the love and care of Christ for my patients. That means more than just caring for the patient. It’s advocating aggressively for their best interests, listening to them and being present on their journey.

Biography

Deborah chose to work for OSF HealthCare because of the organization's commitment to the Catholic faith. She believes in the powerful combination of faith, prayer, and evidence-based medical care for the best patient treatment.

In her appointments, Deborah aims to reflect God's immense love and provide comfort and care to her patients.

“I want my patients to know that as they navigate their health journey, I will be there,” she said. “I will provide as much comfort and care as I can.”

Her journey into medicine began after a friend's tragic loss, inspiring her to help others by providing compassionate care. Specializing in palliative care, she finds fulfillment in bringing peace and comfort to patients facing serious illnesses and sharing Christ's love with them.

Deborah was born in Nigeria and grew up in Uganda. Her parents were missionaries and served 20 years in ministry there.  She is happily married with four wonderful daughters. Despite a busy life, she enjoys movies, reading and traveling with her family.
