Debra is happy to work at OSF HealthCare with orthopedic surgeons who provide care to the community. During every appointment, she takes time with her patients and never wants them to feel rushed. She views each one as family and always provides the best care that she can.
Debra knew from a young age that she wanted a career in medicine so she could help people have a better quality of life. When she was in eighth grade, her mother became ill with tuberculosis and was in isolation for an entire year at Iowa City Hospital. Each weekend, Debra would travel with her father to visit her mother, and she was impressed by the medical facility and care her mother received.
Ultimately, Debra found her passion in the surgical field and interacting with patients. In orthopedics, she’s able to do both and finds it very rewarding to help people live a more fulfilling life without pain.
