After college, Emily worked at OSF HealthCare for a few years and was able to create connections with people who helped her through school to become a physician assistant. She wants to pay it forward and encourage others to achieve their goals.
“During an appointment with me, I want my patients to feel comfortable, so they share their concerns,” she said. “I want them to know that I will always have their best interest at heart.”
Emily developed her interest in medicine by attending community outreach events. She witnessed firsthand the need for basic health care in all types of communities. She chose primary care to build long-lasting, trusting relationships with her patients as they go through all stages of life.
Emily grew up on her family’s farm in Pontiac.
