I take a holistic and collaborative approach to health care. My nursing background makes me very aware of the importance of involving the patient in decision making
Emily grew up in Chenoa and has lived and worked in the Bloomington-Normal area her entire life.
"It is important to continue to give back to the community that has been so good to my family and me," she said. "I love the small-town connections and relationships."
When Emily sees a new patient, she said it's vital for her to get to know them and their family and learn what is important to them.
"I want patients to know that their health is truly my priority, and I will always do my best to meet their needs," she said.
Emily decided to specialize in ENT due to the variety of patients she can see.
"I get to see tiny newborns up to 100-year-olds. It is an interesting mix of surgical and medical issues, and I learn something new every day," she said.
When not working, Emily stays busy with her son and daughter and their school activities. She loves to read, bake and cook.
