I believe patient education is key to maintaining health and preventing co-morbidities.
"As a young child, I can remember dreaming about being a nurse," Flora said. "I recall playing doctor and caring for my dolls and stuffed animals. As I got older and my love for people grew, I wanted to be more and do more."
She chose to become a physician assistant, which she finds "extremely rewarding."
Married with two children, Flora loves traveling and spending time with her family. She's also very active in her church and not only is a minister's wife, but is a women's ministry leader and youth leader.
Flora is also a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve where she began her medical career as a combat medic and later became a licensed practical nurse.
