Dr. George Tannous completed his medical degree at the University of Cincinnati. He then went on to complete his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in gastroenterology at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals of Cleveland. As a fellow, Dr. Tannous developed an interest in neurogastroenterology, motility studies and inflammatory bowel disease.
Dr. Tannous is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology and serves as the director of the Gastrointestinal Motility program at Rockford Gastroenterology Associates. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society.
