Gerri’s philosophy of care is compassion for her patients. She provides evidence-based recommendations and education to help empower women to make the best possible health care choices for themselves.
Gerri Cook is passionate about providing excellent care to the women in her community. Having experienced tremendous support, care, and compassion among all Mission Partners at OSF HealthCare, she is excited to contribute to the increasing need for health care providers in Rockford. As an instructor at St. Anthony’s Nursing School, she spends one day a week helping train the next generation of health care providers.
“Getting to know my patients is important to me,” she said. “I want to give them the time to express their needs and concerns, ensuring they feel heard and valued.”
Gerri and her husband have a blended family of six children who live across the country. Despite the distance, they cherish family moments and love to travel whenever possible. Warmth and the ocean are her favorite things, aligning with her and her husband’s love for scuba diving. She participates in cancer walks and supports various charities in the community, demonstrating her commitment to making a positive impact beyond the hospital walls.
