My general approach is to provide patient-centered care because every person is unique. I provide them with the expert opinion and science data and help them make a shared, informed decision about their treatment based on their circumstances.

When Dr. Abdalla decided to go into medicine, she saw it as an opportunity to make a positive difference in people's lives.
"I love to help people," she said. "I chose internal medicine as a specialty and then primary care because it offers the opportunity to communicate directly with patients, have a long-term relationship with them, and not only help them with their immediate health needs but also provide them with preventive care."
Abdalla grew up in Sudan. She is married with two daughters. When not working, she enjoys being outdoors with family and friends.
