Dr. Ralph grew up in Streator, Illinois. When she was looking for a community to call home, Kewanee was a natural fit.

"Kewanee is similar in size to where I grew up. I can identify with many of the successes and challenges the community may encounter."

From a young age, Dr. Ralph has had a strong interest in medicine. Her mother was radiology technician, and her early memories of spending time in the radiology department dark room had a strong impact on her career choice.

"As I grew older, I became passionate about using my fascination for science to help people in need." Dr. Ralph said. Her interest in people made family medicine a natural fit.

"This further developed into an interest in caring for families, as a whole, from birth to end-of-life," Dr. Ralph said. "I love to not only provide information about a person's current health conditions and offer potential solutions, but help a person in times of despair, whether it be socially, emotionally, mentally or physically."

Dr. Ralph enjoys talking to her patients and takes a holistic approach to their care. She wants to understand their issues and get to the root of the problem.

"I try to let the patient run as much of the appointment as possible, so they feel their concerns are being heard and addressed," Dr. Ralph said. "Then I try to provide as much education as I can about what may be the cause or issue and offer potential solutions to give the patient an option on their treatment plan when appropriate."
