Prevention, prevention, prevention. I would love it if my patients could come in once per year for well checks.
Dr. Mikeworth's love of math and science at a young age was a great fit with medicine. He also was inspired with his own pediatrician.
"My pediatrician growing up always made appointments feel like they were directed towards me," he said.
Specializing in internal medicine and pediatrics provides the opportunity, especially in a rural setting, "to see the rare and the odd things in medicine that a lot of other specialties won't see," he said.
Dr. Mikeworth's wife is also an internal medicine primary care provider. The have two kids and a dog. In his free time, he enjoys woodworking, exercising and supporting the Cubs.
One thing of note about him, "I have a great mustache," he said.
