I use a team-based approach by involving the patient in the decision-making process. I want to get to know my patients and the circumstances that may impact their health.

Jamie was inspired to become a nurse in high school after seeing the school nurse treat students in need with compassion and empathy.
Primary care allows her to be at the heart of a patient’s care, both preventive and diagnostic. It gives her the opportunity to care for multiple generations within the same family. It also allows her to get to know her patients on a more personal level.
“It’s a perfect fit for me,” she said. “Now, I’m able to help people from all walks of life reach their health goals.”
Jamie grew up in Ottawa. She is married with two sons, and enjoys baking, cooking and gardening.
