Philosophy of Care: “I treat cardiac patients with many different needs. I emphasize preventive medicine in my practice in hopes of addressing potential issues before symptoms arise.”

Dr. Trager was inspired to become a doctor by his father, who is also a physician. Watching his father make a difference in people's lives motivated Dr. Trager to pursue medicine. He has always been fascinated by the human body and how it works, especially with the cardiovascular system because of its electrical, mechanical and cellular parts.

Dr. Trager works hard to build personal relationships with each patient, providing care that focuses on their individual needs. He believes “respecting patients' wishes and gaining their trust is key to working together to find the best solutions.”

Dr. Trager grew up in Michigan and met his wife while working at a summer camp. They have a son, a daughter and a bulldog. In his free time, Dr. Trager enjoys building remote-controlled cars, studying astronomy and spending time with family and friends. He is also an avid scuba diver.
