I found the area of mental health to be greatly underserved, especially for older adults. I love seeing my patients’ physical health improve because I have helped them in improving their mental health.
An appreciation of faith-based values is what drew Jaycie to OSF HealthCare. She began her journey in health care at age 16 when she worked at a nursing home. Since then she’s continued her education becoming a registered nurse, a nurse practitioner, and finally pursuing a specialty in psychiatry.
Her goal is to create an environment that feels safe and secure and fosters open communication.
