My philosophy is to treat every single patient as I would want my family to be treated and cared for. I listen to concerns and act with genuine empathy and compassion. I want my patients to be active participants in their health care, and I feel that they are in a better position to achieve their goals when allowed to voice them.
Jennifer Willman knew she wanted to be a nurse as a small child growing up in Springfield, Ohio.
"I have always felt a calling to care for others," she said. "I want to be an advocate for those who may not be able to advocate for themselves."
Being part of a community is also very important to her, as is helping those within her community find peace in their daily lives, especially when it comes to chronic pain.
"It's so difficult to treat because it's not a one-size-fits-all plan of care," she said. "But I look forward to facing these kinds of challenges head-on, together with my patients."
Jennifer is married with three kids and a self-described, small zoo. The family enjoys seven pets that include a dog, cat, rabbits and a hedgehog! Together, they enjoy camping, hiking and kayaking.
