Jessica grew up in the small farming community of German Valley and moved to Rockford about 10 years ago. She has worked within OSF HealthCare for over 12 years and loves how the Mission of OSF is evident throughout the organization, as well as the community.
"We not only care for patients on a physical level, but on spiritual level as well. And that makes OSF HealthCare and exceptional organization to work with," Jessica said.
Jessica hadn't planned on going into nursing when she was in high school. However, in college, she felt the need to go into a career where the care of others would be the focus. She felt that becoming a nurse and then a nurse practitioner was a way to do that.
She believes in a patient-centered, holistic approach where she works with the patient to incorporate their strengths.
"This allows for me to work with the patient to set and achieve goals that are important to them," Jessica said.
Jessica has two energetic dogs and loves to workout, spend time with friends, go to concerts, bake and work on fix-up projects around the house.
