My mission is to help serve the lives and health of those in need. I enjoy getting to know my patients, and caring for them as I would family. I focus on nonoperative care, but when needed, use my surgical skills to get patients back to health.
Growing up on a farm in central Illinois, Dr. Meiss developed a wide-ranging enthusiasm for life.
His strong Christian faith helped kindle his desire to help people by becoming a doctor, and he embraced the opportunity to join OSF HealthCare because of the Mission to serve patients with the greatest care and love.
His interest in the human body and love of sports combined to draw him into orthopedics.
Dr. Meiss's wife, Miranda, is an RN. She keeps busy raising their two young children, Grant and Ruby.
Outside the office, Dr. Meiss enjoys spending time with family, playing the guitar, fishing, hiking, playing strategy board games and cheering for his favorite sports teams, primarily the Fighting Illini, Bears, Bulls and Cardinals.
