“I believe patients deserve to be involved in their care, make informed decisions, and truly understand what is going on. It is important to build a trusting patient-provider relationship.”
Jordan grew up Catholic and feels right at home at OSF HealthCare, a Catholic health care system.
“Being able to tie the spiritual aspect of life into health care is something I find very powerful and important when caring for patients,” she said.
Jordan will take time to explain things and wants to make sure her patients understand what is going on with their health.
“I want patients to know that I am invested in them and their health,” she said. “They are more than just another patient to me.”
Volunteering is also important to Jordan. She uses her nursing skills helping out at the local fire department. She says she was inspired by her dad who volunteered as an EMT for more than 25 years.
