I am devoted to providing care for all patients in a caring and respectful manner.
Dr. Welty chose to work for OSF HealthCare because he believes the organization provides the community with the best access to high-quality, innovative care. He is happy about the increased access to medical services that OSF brings and loves the local community's ability to rally around those in need.
In his practice, Dr. Welty works closely with family medicine residents, providing supervision during follow-up appointments. He is dedicated to ensuring patients receive thorough care and encourages a supportive, collaborative environment.
Growing up in Amboy, Dr. Welty was inspired by his mother, a nurse who worked for a local physician. Witnessing the mutual respect between his mother and her patients fueled his passion for family medicine. He values the unique opportunity to care for entire families, often spanning generations.
Dr. Welty and his wife are the proud parents of three married sons and seven grandchildren. He enjoys running, bicycling and coaching his church’s junior high cross country team.
