Dr. Johnson was drawn to medicine by a deep curiosity about how people work – physically, emotionally and holistically. Early in life, she recognized the impact of being truly seen and supported during moments of vulnerability.
“Medicine gave me a way to combine science with human connection and be present in people’s lives during both challenges and healing,” she said. “It’s the privilege of that relationship that continues to inspire me every day.”
Dr. Johnson chose family medicine because it allows her to build lasting relationships with patients of all ages, often treating multiple generations of the same family. She believes great care goes beyond symptoms; it involves listening, context and compassion.
“Family medicine is a specialty rooted in continuity, compassion and community. That’s exactly the kind of doctor I wanted to be,” she said.
