My goal is to provide individualized, evidence-based care and to practice with compassion by actively listening to and caring for my patients’ physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Kahla chose to work at OSF HealthCare because the philosophy and values align with her own. She believes that OSF has the best resources to help patients and families.
“I want my patients to know that during an appointment with me, I will give them my full, undivided attention,” she said. “My goal is to earn the trust of my patients and create an environment where they feel comfortable talking to me.”
Kahla’s family encouraged her to attend nursing school because she is kind, compassionate and patient. At first, she was unsure, but once she had her first experience with a patient, she knew this was her calling. She chose primary care as her specialty because she is able to make meaningful connections with patients and families, and no two days are ever the same.
She grew up in Mackinaw and married her high school sweetheart. They have one son and two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys being with her family, swimming and playing volleyball.
