I seek to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that is tailored to the individual’s needs and goals. I value developing relationships with my patients so we can work together to optimize their health.
Dr. Rai was drawn to medicine at a young age. His mother was a doctor, so he was exposed to it early on.
“What really clicked for me was when I realized I could provide tangible help to people in their time of need,” he said.
But while Dr. Rai feels that calling to medicine, he has a passion for sports. Sports medicine is the perfect marriage for him.
“When work doesn’t feel like work, it makes every day a joy,” he said.
He grew up in a variety of locations, but claims Philadelphia as home.
“Philadelphia grabbed my heart, but I have strong ties to the Midwest and the South,” Dr. Rai said.
He is married with a son. When not practicing medicine, Dr. Rai enjoys watching sports, especially the Tar Heels, spending time outdoors and binging Netflix.
