I take time to get to know each individual patient while learning about their values as individuals, their support systems, as well as their overall health.
Karen chose to work at OSF HealthCare because it has a caring and accepting environment, especially with all the abrupt changes in health care. She enjoys caring for her friends and neighbors and to continue providing the best care possible.
“During an appointment with me, the patient will feel listened to. This will help guide their healthcare along with allowing me to get to know them as an individual,” she said.
Karen knew at an early age that she wanted to follow in the footsteps of her mother, who is also a nurse practitioner. She enjoys supporting patients in their health journey and educating them about preventive care, disease processes as well as proper medication use.
Karen resides in Princeton with her husband, and they have three sons. In her free time, she loves to read fiction novels and reads at least 100 books a year.
Areas of expertise: Preventive visits from newborn to elderly, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, depression, anxiety, urinary tract infection, ear infection and sinusitis
