After participating in medical mission work as a teenager, Dr. Anderson knew she wanted to be a doctor. She chose pediatric surgery because of the young patients.
“You can hug, laugh and play with your patients,” she said. “I am given the gift to care for the most precious thing an individual has – their child.”
Dr. Anderson grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina. She likes to run, hike and cook with her husband.
