When providing care to my patients, I want them to feel heard and involved in their treatment plans. It's important to look at the patient in totality when making decisions about their care.
Kayla chose to work for OSF HealthCare because her personal goals as a provider align with our Vision and Mission. She has a passion for working with children; her experience has consisted of working with those with complex medical needs.
"I want my patients and their caregivers to feel comfortable and involved with their care plans," she said. "When questions arise, I want to provide them with all of the tools and resources necessary to ensure they make informed decisions."
Kayla has worked in pediatrics her entire nursing career, specifically with children with tracheostomies and ventilators, which is why she chose to specialize in pediatric pulmonology.
Kayla grew up in Bloomington-Normal and enjoys free time with her husband and two dogs. She also enjoys shopping, skiing and swimming.
