I believe that my role as a physician is to treat the whole person. My goal is to educate my patients about their health and help them set, and reach, obtainable goals. I am happiest when my patients are healthy and thriving!
Dr. Walker chose to work at OSF HealthCare because she wanted to be part of a collaborative team that is focused on delivering quality care to the community.
She chose a career in medicine because she is passionate about serving others and she loves science. Serving as a physician has proven to be a perfect blend of these two things. In medical school, she found that she enjoyed her family medicine rotation the most as the relationship between primary care provider and the patient is special. She also loves educating her patients and emphasizes disease prevention.
Dr. Walker places an emphasis on listening to her patients. She wants them to know that she hears their concerns and will work with them to accomplish their health goals.
She is happy to be in the Bloomington/Normal community, with its amazing food scene, and working with the team at OSF HealthCare.
Dr. Walker grew up in Decatur, Illinois. She has a fur baby named Lulu and a growing family of houseplants. She also enjoys traveling, learning about different cultures, hiking, biking and running.
