My approach to care is based on building trust with patients by providing honest, evidence-based care, and having open communication about the treatment options and technologies available to improve health
Dr. Tobin completed his residency at OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. It’s a big reason why he decided to stay with OSF.
“I felt supported, motivated and driven to be the best clinician I could be,” he said. “Seeing the commitment to improving the health of the community was a huge factor in why I chose OSF HealthCare.”
Being diagnosed with a chronic disease at a young age played a role in Dr. Tobin deciding to pursue a career in endocrinology.
“I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes mellitus when I was 12. The endocrinologists who have cared for me have changed my life for the better,” he said. “I hope to do this for my patients.”
Dr. Tobin will listen to you and use your experiences to determine a treatment plan that best suits you. His belief in open communication helps in developing a plan that both provider and patient are comfortable with.
When not at the office, Dr. Tobin enjoys playing tennis and pickleball, traveling and hiking, often with his wife and two dogs.
