Laura chose to work at OSF HealthCare because she wanted to be a part of a collaborative team that strives to provide the best care, love and dignity to all patients.
She chose a career in medicine because she loves establishing relationships with her patients and getting to know them. She loves educating her patients and helping them navigate their way to optimal health. Her parents were both chiropractors, and she learned anatomy from her mom. Laura was fascinated with the way the body works and wanted to study more. She worked her way from an emergency medical technician to nurse, where she enjoys taking care of all types of patients.
Laura is happy to be in Bloomington/Normal, with its amazing food scene and welcoming community.
She grew up in Peoria, Illinois. Laura loves to participate in local running events and is a huge Illini fan. She and her husband, Jason, love to travel and are expert cruisers. They have a daughter in nursing school, a son in the navy and a son at home.
